This is the story of an Episcopalian priest living in a small town in North Carolina. Father Tim is single and about to turn 60. Throughout the story we follow Father Tim on his daily trips to The Grill, and his weekly trips to the hospital.

This was an absolute joy to read. It started out slow, but quickly became an adorable tale of a small town. The small town drama and the nosiness of the neighbors. These character quickly became real and understandable. There was no big conflict in this story, mostly just a bunch of little things. This kept the story light and fun.

Barnabas was easily one the best characters. He is a big, black dog, who only calms down when you recite bible verses to him.
