This is the second time I’ve read this and I watched the movie a few days later. I enjoyed reading this again. The book has a lot of differences from the movie, but they also relate in more ways. The way the book is written is more like a collection of stories than one story. Each chapter focuses on one person or thought process.

The only minor problem that I have had with both book and movie is that it almost romanticizes being in a hospital. Very few bad things happen when they are in the hospital and it made me want to go there. The other side is that this is a good story to have because it isn’t just a horror story and instead shows how the hospital can help people. That is why I don’t fully know how to think about it.
